This year I have found an obsession with wood burning! These sweet ornaments are all created with a mixture of burning and acrylic paint as an accent. Each one features a wooden bead and twine as the topper. As a bonus, take a whiff of the lovely wood smell and they just ooze of Christmas spirit!
Wooden nativity scene. These country style nativity figures are cut from pine and painted the simple colors of Christmas. The shining star wavers playfully over the holy family suspended on a curly wire.
I tried my hand at clay this year. While I love the look of the ornaments, working with the clay was a bit more difficult than I anticipated. These are baked and then lightly painted to add a bit of color, and hung by wire. We shall see if I continue them in the future! :)
Stuffed Santa hat! These little guys add a great bit of color to the Christmas tree. The fabric is a rustic red checked cloth with extra fuzzy white trim and topped with an antiqued jingle bell!
